Are you ready for five days filled with science and technology? The juFORUM Congress 2024 in Heidelberg is the ultimate opportunity to expand your scientific horizons. You can expect workshops, exciting tours of research institutions and companies, as well as inspiring lectures. Alongside numerous networking opportunities against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, this event will be an unforgettable experience!
When and where? The 23rd juFORUM Congress will take place from April 3rd to April 7th, 2024, in Heidelberg. We start on Wednesday afternoon and conclude after five days on Sunday afternoon, ensuring all participants can travel home safely. The Congress takes place in the city of Heidelberg. Located in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, Heidelberg not only offers a picturesque old town with a castle but is also home to over 200 scientific institutions and more than 4,000 businesses.
Who? You! We warmly invite all students, high school students aged 16 and above, doctoral candidates, and young professionals with an interest in scientific and technical research to participate in the Congress. And since the Congress will be held in two languages (English and German), we also especially welcome young people from all over Europe!
Program Highlights: From Wednesday afternoon until Sunday, we present an exciting program featuring lectures, workshops, panels, and tours. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, there is an opportunity to go on excursions to interesting companies and research institutions in the Rhine-Neckar region. And on Saturday, a panel with local start-up companies will take place. Between all the events, there are many opportunities for networking and making new contacts. And, of course, a closing party is not to be missed!
Detailed program information will be announced in the coming months. Some excursions are however already confirmed, including visits to the Fraunhofer IPA Institute in Mannheim, the exoskeleton research group at the University of Heidelberg, the neutrino experiment KATRIN at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at KIT, the Cluster 3D Matter Made to Order at the University of Heidelberg, the Center for Integrative Infectious Disease Research at the famous Heidelberg University Hospital, the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, and the company Roche. This allows you to experience research up close, learn more about cutting-edge science, or even find your future workplace. So, get ready for five exciting days!
