Exhibition "Passion and Redemption"

A completely new tribute to the sculptor Aldo Franchini

With "Passion and Redemption" the Palatine Basilica of Santa Barbara returns to welcome the now

traditional Easter appointment with sacred art and it does so with a completely free gift

unpublished by the sculptor Aldo Falchi (Sabbioneta, 1935 – Mantua, 2020).

The inauguration of the exhibition is scheduled for Saturday 1 April at 10.30, with the presentation

criticism by art historian Paola Artoni and a musical interlude by violinist Alessia Caniato. The exhibition will continue until April 30th, opening on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am

at 6pm.

The exhibition, created thanks to the collaboration with the artist's daughter Ombretta Falchi, is

sponsored by the Municipality and Province of Mantua, by the Diocese of Mantua and by the Touring Club Italian. For the eleventh consecutive year, the “Giulio Romano” Art High School of Mantua is promoting an event dedicated to contemporary art in Santa Barbara and taking care of its staging, as had already happened for the solo exhibitions dedicated to Silvio Consadori, Angiolino Cristanini, Mario

Dall'Acqua, Renzo Ferrarini, Andrea Giovannini, Trento Longaretti, Sandro Negri, Enzo Nenci, Teresa Noto, Aurelio Nordera.
